The Rat speaks of Love

An unorthodox love story for every mood.

Okay, here's good news for all of you who very nearly bought a copy of Slightly Peculiar Love Stories but did your sums and reckoned that 10 USD would badly bend the budget. Now you can have it for 5 USD (today that's NZ $6.09, in case you're wondering). Just shoot over to the website and follow the steps to collect your Mobi file (if you have a Kindle), or ePub file (for almost any other reading device) or a PDF if you choose to read on your computer.

I was nibbling at the love stories again the other day and thinking how toothsome and moreish they are. A fresh crop of excerpts is on show here.

Here you see me doing the standing back arch, or Urdhva Hastsana. I plan to hold this pose indefinitely, in at least 250 places simultaneously.

I'm to be imprinted on business cards, for dispersal to friends, strangers, commuters and other readers of digital books. If anyone would like a handful to sow on their own patch, leave a message below.

And feel free to FB this blog, or tweet it, or otherwise pass it on. I'm not standing here with a crick in my neck for nothing.

Namaste.

I like the Rat's commitment to ensuring that the 99%, not just the 1%, can afford Slightly Peculiar Love Stories - and as for the business cards, I reckon I could offload 20 or so.

99% cover would be fabulous, Tim. (!% would be terrific, too.) I'll be after you for a postal address as soon as I have my 250 rats in hand. Thank you!

Well, I already have it, and am thoroughly enjoying it--still have a few stories to get through. I'd even do the Urdhva Hastsana with Rat, if I could (maybe he can teach me), telling all to OCCUPY RMB! ;)

I feel sure you could, Jayne. Am glad you're enjoying the stories.

Business cards today, greeting cards tomorrow. Ratty et al could develop (or likely already have) a wide international fan base, which would demand product. Picture books, tote bags, coffee mugs. I can see it. xo

I love the idea, Maylinn. I need a business partner or two or another handful of hands and eyes . .. or perhaps simply time . . . you'll read about it here if it's happening. (Actually, Raymond has already asked me to 'hand over' all the Ratty pics so he can collate them. As I say, watch this space.)

Female + male signing duos are so hot right now - She and Him, and so forth. Do Ratty and Lily have good singing voices, or if not, could they be Autotuned into the charts?

So many possible outlets for these critters! What's it to be, the tote bag or the autotuning? Someone in the houses's eyes light up at the possibility of the latter. But first the audition.
